This year we have all experienced unprecedented challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While uncertainty persists, the Tucson Conquistador leadership team continues to focus on hosting another world-class golf event that will make our community proud. Due to COVID-19, this year’s Cologuard Classic will be different in all regards. The 2021 tournament will still host a top-tier field of PGA TOUR Champions professionals; however, attendance will be reduced, and the few hospitality venues will be open-air, limited-capacity private suites derived from COVID specific protocols. We are planning for Cologuard Classic week to consist of an Am-Am event on February 22nd...

Katy Pradella To Lead Tucson’s Pga Tour Champions Event Tucson, Ariz. (October 1, 2020) – The Tucson Conquistadores, the tournament management team that oversees the PGA TOUR Champions’ Cologuard Classic, formally announced today that Katy Pradella has been named the Executive Director of the Tucson Conquistadores and the Tournament Director of the Cologuard Classic. Darren Clarke and John Daly Receive Sponsor Exemptions Tucson, Ariz. (February 19, 2020) – PGA TOUR Champions rookie Ernie Els, 2018 Cologuard Classic champion Steve Stricker, and two-time Masters champion José María Olazábal have committed to play in next week’s Cologuard Classic. In addition, tournament officials also announced that Darren Clarke and John Daly will receive sponsor exemptions into the PGA TOUR Champions’ event. (February 6, 2020) – The Cologuard Classic announced today that Hall-of-Fame pitcher John Smoltz will receive a sponsor exemption to play in the 2020 Cologuard Classic, to be played February 26- March 1, 2020 at Omni Tucson National’s Catalina Course. 2020 will mark the second straight year that Smoltz has played in Tucson’s PGA TOUR Champions event on a sponsor exemption.
